The DIY Scrub For Luxuriously Soft Skin

Himalayan Rose Body Scrub via Elemental Energy

The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean the gifting has to stop, so treat yourself to this spa-worthy DIY body scrub: Himalayan Rose Body Scrub. The scrub that will leave your skin baby soft, our DIY staple for the colder months. This scrub can be used for all skin types and can be applied daily, or as needed (courtesy of Elemental Energy: Crystal and Gemstone Rituals for a Beautiful Life).

We’re no stranger to the benefits of Himalayan salt— a natural exfoliate and detoxifier, full with more than 80+ trace minerals that provide nutrients and extra hydration to skin— and rose quartz, which provides energetic healing, but what about gold? We’ve all wore jewelry made with gold, silver, and copper, but have you ever thought of using these same metals in skincare? Adorn for their beauty, these same metals have long been used for their medicinal and healing benefits. For instance, gold has been known to regenerate aging or damaged skin cells. An effective way to incorporate precious metals into skincare is to purchase them in colloidal form.

This body scrub combines the calming ability of rose quartz, the softening powers of rose with the majestic relaxation and healing properties of Himalayan pink salt and gold, to calm skin and awaken the spirit.

Purpose: Calms skin while awakening the spirit

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/3 rose quartz oil elixir
  • ½ teaspoon gold colloidal
  • 3 tablespoons crushed dried rose buds
  • 5-10 drops flower essential oil such as rose, ylang- ylang, or chamomile

In a small glass or ceramic bowl, combine the salt, oil elixir, gold colloidal, dried rose buds, and essential oil, mixing well with a wooden spoon.

Apply a generous amount of the scrub to the skin either just before showering or once in the shower. Rub gently in circular motions to exfoliate dead skin cells. Rinse off the scrub with warm water to remove it with a damp soft cloth. Gently pat your skin dry.

 * To help clear the mind and body, try using a clear quartz oil elixir or blue sapphire oil elixir instead of rose quartz, and frankincense essential oil instead of a flower essential oil.
